He has been recognized as one of the greatest entrepreneurs in American history in the Encyclopedia of Entrepreneurs and has lifetime achievement recognitions from American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association among many other accolades.

He has published papers that have appeared in leading scientific journals, has made hundreds of national TV appearances and has been quoted in Time, USA Today, Inc., Businessweek and thousands of other publications.
A philanthropist, futurist and sought-out expert in international business and digital media, he has been an invited lecturer at The New York Academy of Sciences and many scientific, leadership, and charitable organizations in addition to giving a TED Talk. He is a member of the Committee for Economic Development of the Conference Board and is a Fellow of the Explorers Club, and has memberships in the WSJ's CEO Council and the Washington Post's Climate & Energy Council. Dr. Myers has also been an important force on the Penn State Board of Trustees for 33 years and served as Trustee Emeritus. He is also founder of the Dads' Resource Center.
